Karen Stent
Karen was born in Kent and has lived in Sussex since the early Seventies after returning from Perth, Western Australia, where her family emigrated to for five years.
Karen started her career in tax by working for HM Revenue & Customs at Worthing 1 tax office in 1985. She moved across to a private accountancy firm based in Brighton in 1988 as a tax senior and has continued to work in practice since then, apart from a three year break when she had her daughter in 1992. During her time in private practice Karen has also qualified with the AAT.
Karen joined Hartley Fowler in November 2015 as part of the merger with Clark Brownscombe (Hove) and is responsible for most aspects of personal tax, payroll and P11D.
Outside of work Karen enjoys art, music and theatre.
