Dan Chapman
Dan graduated from Durham University in 2010 with a First Class Masters degree in Mathematics and Physics. He joined Hartley Fowler later that year as a trainee accountant and within a few years progressed to Audit Senior for the Brighton office. Having gained Chartered Accountant status in July 2014, Dan was later appointed Audit & Accounts Manager and became a Partner in 2021.
Dan qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in October 2016 and in December 2017 was promoted to Director. Dan manages a varied client portfolio that includes both domestic and international accounts and audit clients, as well as providing bespoke tax advice.
During his time with Hartley Fowler, Dan has worked with sole-traders, partnerships, charities and limited companies. He has performed most of the Brighton office’s statutory audits and has experience of working with Solicitor’s Accounts Rules, private company valuations and forensic accounting.
Outside of the office, Dan enjoys live music, photography and seeing family and friends.
