Hartley Fowler Newsletter – June 2021

The last few months have brought us not only much-needed sunshine and more vaccination success, but also the news that the next step in the roadmap will be pushed back to 19th July. Despite this, and government support including the furlough scheme coming to an end in the autumn, our clients appear to have weathered the storm and are looking to the future with a positive outlook.

Since the announcement of a reintroduction of a tiered system for Corporation Tax, we have been having conversations with many of our clients around how this will affect them. It’s a complex area of tax with many contributing factors to consider, so do speak to our team if you would like advice. In particular, we’ve had more questions around business structures and whether operating as self-employed or a limited company is more suitable.

Here’s a roundup of our latest news:

  • Latest Tax News
  • An Overview of upcoming changes to vehicle taxation
  • Tax Booklet 2021/2022
  • Paying your deferred VAT
  • Events
  • Senior staff spotlight – Dan Chapman and Simon Wood
