About Julien
Partner
Wimbledon
Julien is a partner in the Wimbledon office of Hartley Fowler and has worked for the firm since qualifying as a chartered accountant. Julien graduated with a business studies degree and did his training with Touche Ross.
Julien is responsible for a wide-ranging portfolio of commercial clients in all business sectors providing audit, accountancy and taxation services. Julien also assists personal tax clients to comply with the ever changing tax legislation.
Outside of work, Julien enjoys spending time with his family and helping local charities.

About Jonathan

Jonathan is an audit partner in the Wimbledon office of Hartley Fowler, technical partner for the firm and leads the firm’s specialist charities and not for profit team. He divides his time between advising clients on a variety of subjects, providing support to the whole firm overseeing high level accounting and auditing issues and for professional compliance matters, training and mentoring of team members.
Jonathan’s clients come from a wide range of sectors that include technology, property, venture capital, and a number of international groups. He works closely with owner managers and family run businesses delivering professional advice that helps them manage, run and grow their organisations. By obtaining an in depth understanding of his clients and their affairs, he is able to provide solutions that balance the needs of the business with those of the founder and family behind it.
With an extensive client portfolio of charity and not for profit organisations Jonathan is able to draw upon more than 20 years of experience to provide the expert advice vital in this sector. Running a charity is a complex and exacting operation, ensuring compliance with an increasing range of financial reporting, legal, taxation and VAT issues.
Jonathan graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in 1995 and joined Hartley Fowler shortly after, completing his ACA qualification with the firm. Now an FCA he became a partner in 2009.
Jonathan is married with 2 children and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and friends and, when the time permits, travelling somewhere warm for scuba diving.

About Christian

Christian a Chartered Accountant with 20 years of post qualification experience. Having graduated with an Honours Degree in Accounting at the University of East Anglia in 1993, he started with Hartley Fowler as a trainee and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997. He carried out most of the office’s larger audits but also worked with sole traders, partnerships and smaller limited companies.
Subsequently Christian was appointed PA to a partner before being promoted to assistant manager and then manager. He is responsible for many of the larger audit clients and manages a diverse portfolio of clients covering the motor trade, property development and investment, electronics retailing, management consulting, subsidiaries of multi-national groups, and charities. Christian is also responsible for the trainee Chartered Accountants in all three offices.
Outside of work, Christian enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family.

David is an audit manager in the Wimbledon office of Hartley Fowler having joined the firm with the acquisition of Strover Leader & Co in 2012.
David is a senior member of the firm’s specialist charities and not for profit team, he holds a Diploma in Charity Accounting and has over 20 years’ experience dealing with clients in the sector. He was himself a Trustee of a large charity and understands the complexities of charity accounting and regulation.
David is a keen amateur photographer and has had photos published in various respected photography magazines.

About Hannah

Hannah graduated from University of Lincoln with a First Class Honours degree in Accountancy and Finance in 2015. She then completed her training contract at a small accountancy firm in Surrey who specialised in charity audits, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2018. After a year working for a large firm in Central London specialising in property companies, Hannah decided she was better suited to the more intimate set up, and joined Hartley Fowler in July 2019, subsequently being promoted to Accounts Manager in 2022.
In 2020, Hannah trained to become Hartley Fowler’s Mental Health First Aider.
Hannah spends much of her spare time in her hometown on the south coast, visiting family and friends.

About Tracy

Tracy joined Hartley Fowler in 2015 starting in the accounts and audit department and subsequently moving to the Tax department where she is now an Assistant Manager. Tracy completed a Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree in South Africa and is ACCA qualified. Tracy is an integral part of the Hartley Fowler team, while focussed predominantly on functions within the Tax department, she is always eager to assist with accounting and audit functions.
Outside of work, Tracy enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Hector qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 and works on a diverse range of company, charity and group audits.
Outside of audit, Hector’s time is spent with family. Hector is a keen explorer, enjoys travel, leisure, and PC gaming.

About Thomas

6 months after completing his A-levels, Tom joined the firm as an accounts and audit junior in
February 2018. Since his arrival, Tom has worked on a broad range of clients in accounts
preparation, audits and personal tax. Soon to finish his AAT apprenticeship, Tom is looking to
progress and continue his studies through ACA to become a chartered accountant.
Outside of work and studies, Tom plays for his local football team and frequently visits the gym. On
his days off he enjoys spending time with his friends and family.

Andi began working at Hartley Fowler in 2015, being one of the first apprentices hired by the firm. Having qualified the AAT at the start of 2019, Andi is now working towards the joint ACA/CTA qualification.
During her time at Hartley Fowler, Andi has worked on a variety of audit and accounts jobs, including various Client Asset and Solicitors Regulation Authority audits.
Outside of work, Andi enjoys travelling when possible and playing netball.

Joe joined Hartley Fowler in 2015 straight from Sixth Form, and completed his AAT apprenticeship in late 2018. He is now training for his ACA and CTA qualifications over the coming years. In his time at Hartley Fowler, Joe has performed a wide variety of work, including accounts, audit, personal tax and corporate tax.
Outside of work Joe is a keen sportsman, playing both Football and Golf regularly, and is a season ticket holder at Charlton Athletic FC.

Emily attended the University of Leicester and left with a 2.1 in BA Geography in 2019. Having completed a five month internship at a forensic accountancy firm, she joined Hartley Fowler at the end of August 2021 as an ACA trainee.
Outside of work she enjoys playing squash, travelling when possible and spending time with friends.

Marie moved to London in 2008 to complete her ACCA qualification. Prior to the move, she worked as a semi-senior auditor with Ernst & Young in Mauritius. Having worked in a small London Practice and taken a keen interest in tax, she qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2013.
Marie is responsible for most aspects of personal and corporate tax compliance as well as working with the firm’s Partners to provide clients with appropriate taxation advice.
When not at work, Marie enjoys gym classes, socialising with friends and travelling, especially trips home to Mauritius to see family and friends.

Emma joined our London office in 2003 under a training contract after a year travelling and completing a degree in International Management and Modern Languages at the University of Bath.
Having qualified as an ACA, and now an FCA, she has recently been promoted from client services manager to Director. Emma is responsible for a varied client portfolio including many owner-managed businesses as well as some charities. She has extensive experience of audit, accounts, management accounts and VAT preparation.
When not in the office she enjoys practising yoga and heading down to the south coast to spend time with friends and family.
